The doubles point was disappointing, and we missed a few opportunities to win   -David McNamara

It's time for Grizzly football to go big-time. University of Montana athletic director Jim O'Day should move aggressively to take Grizzly athletics to the Western Athletic Conference. UM is NCAA Division I in all sports except football, so football would be the only sport having to add scholarships and an assistant coach.

It was the final home meet for Jacob, who has been on the team for five years, overcome a serious injury that reduced her role and competed this year while attempting to complete a master's degree in one year. Instead, Jacob was calm, focused and rock solid.

Boise State Assistant Coach Bob Gregory is getting re-acquainted and stepping into his new role. Gregory comes to Bronco Nation football by taking a step down in position as the defensive coordinator at California. That may seem like an odd move, but he has a pretty good reason why.

It's a lot different than it was eight years ago. The talent is much better, no offense to those guys. But I'm excited to work with these guys. It's a good group   -Bob Gregory

Middle Tennessee performed well against No. 38 Notre Dame in its opening match of the Blue Gray Classic but the Irish pulled out the win late in the match. Left Photo: Junior Kyle Wishing teamed with junior John Peers to defeat the Irish's No. 61 Steven Havens and Casey Watt 8-4. Sophomore Richard Cowden and freshman Shaun Waters fell 8-3 to David Anderson and Daniel Stahl to open doubles play.

I have to give a lot of credit to John and Kyle. They beat a ranked team and that is huge for Kyle. It’s the first win over a ranked player in his career and it shows him he can play with these top players. I am very proud of his progression the last three years and he is playing with a lot of confidence right now. What he is doing in doubles is impressive and John, who is a great doubles player, has really helped Kyle with his game and his confidence   -David McNamara
